I'm new to bookerville, to creating websites and to managing my vacation rental. At the moment, I have paid for and begun development of a website on squarespace.com and am trying to sort out how I'm going to accept payments. Squarespace uses stripe which does not use the authorize.net gateway. I would prefer to take payments via stripe, however I don't want to create a disconnect between the functionality of bookerville and payment acceptance.
Is anyone out there using a payment processor that does not use authorize.net? If so have you had any problems, and would you be kind enough to share recommendations?
Any related advice would be most appreciated!

Hi Rebecca - I don't want to stop anyone else from chiming in here, but I will say that at this time the only way to get integrated payments with Bookerville is to use either PayPal or an Authorize.net-backed merchant account.
May I ask: what rates/fees are you paying with Stripe?

Thanks John,
I've not set up the merchant account yet, but they charge 2.9% +.30 per transaction and have no monthly fee's.

If I accept credit card payments through squarespace, can I manually enter the information into bookerville?

is there a widget that i can embed in my website that will send guests to a payment portal that bookerville works with?
John Amato, April 19, 2016:
Yes - all of our widgets work that way. The Public Booking Calendar for example, will present the guest with buttons to pay you directly into your merchant account (and/or PayPal) for any "pre-payments" due at the time of booking.
For subsequent and/or ad hoc billing, Bookerville can send out payment reminder/past due emails which direct the guest to a Make Payment page, which spells out everything for them and presents buttons to pay you directly.
(Does this help?)
