Hi I am very happy that I came across Bookerville as it is just the system we need to handle a small number of rentals. I am having a dry run of your system but when I try to book a reservation from the public calender as soon as I try to pay at PayPal I am getting the following error:-
The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount
Any idea what I am doing wrong.
Thanks
Mario

Mario - We've pushed out a change we believe will alleviate this issue. It was related to the use of the Euro as currency. We've removed the currency symbol from the amount that gets sent to PayPal, and this seems to work.
I assume you can make a setting in your PayPal account so that all amounts are in Euros?
Any way, please try again and let us know how it works.
Thank you for pointing this out to us,
John

Hi John
Thanks for response. I will have a go late. But I happen to get paid in different currencies mainly Euro Stg and Dollar. I do not know if Paypal can do the conversion.

Excellent. Let me know if I can help, we have a PayPal account, so I can make a quick, inexpensive booking to test it out if you want.

Hello. Newbie here. I have created and tested my calendar. I want my guests to be able to check out via PayPal even if the DO NOT have a PayPal account. I know this is an option because of other ways that I have used PayPal. PayPal has an option to let a guest check out using their debit or credit card. Any idea how to make my Bookerville calendar allow that? Thanks!
John Amato, January 2, 2012:
Hi pch, and welcome to Bookerville.
You are correct - whether your customers have a PayPal account or not, they can still pay you using their credit cards through your PayPal account. All of that happens on the PayPal site. If they click to pay you they will be taken to the PayPal payment page, and if they do not have a PayPal account, they will be provided with the standard fields to fill out for a regular credit/debit card transaction.
In short, you should not have to do anything to facilitate this, and there are no settings required for it in Bookerville. It should just work (magic!). Let us know if you are experiencing something that indicates this is not working, Ok?
Cheers,
John

Hello John. I still cannot get it to work. I have checked my PayPal account and I seem to have all of the correct things checked in it to enable it on the PayPal side. In Bookerville I am testing it by logging out and then going to my calendar URL and making a booking. When I get to PayPal I either have to log in or create a new account. So I am doing something incorrect somewhere. Thanks for your Help. Pam
