Hello. How and where do I enter a secondary email? Currently I have (under owner) my email followed by a comma and the other persons email because I cannot find where the secondary is entered. It is referred to under the email templates and can be selected as an option to have all emails sent to a secondary email but I cannot find where to enter the secondary email address!

Hi pch - you can enter secondary email addresses in your Dashboard ==> Account Settings tab. You can also enter additional email addresses for specific Email Templates as you saw. When you do it at the Account Settings level, then it applies to all (well, most) emails that are sent out.
Also - and we need to make the software warn about this - don't use commas when entering multiple email addresses in the Secondary Alert Emails, and also the Other Addresses box in the Email Templates setup. Just enter one email address per line, with no commas or white space between.
You'll also want to remove the extra email address in the Owner's Email field on the Property Setup page, as this will cause it to fail. (Although I'm pretty sure this is not used for anything in the system, it's only a reference in case you or Bookerville needs to contact the owner in an urgent situation.)
Sorry for the confusion pch! We will enhance those sections to provide pop-ups to help clarify what the expected entries are.
Thanks,
John

OK. I do see that I must have found the Account Settings earlier this month because the secondary address field is filled. However, what got me to looking for this is that the secondary email address is NOT receiving Any of the emails. I need to ensure that the emails are going to our secondary address because I will not be able to use the owner address for awhile this summer.
Thanks for clarifying on the address string with comma. I have removed that.

Let's now look into that issue. Can you tell me which email(s) are not going to that secondary address you have listed in your Account Settings tab?

The secondary is not getting any emails unless I go into the email template and add that address as an 'other' email.
John Amato, June 20, 2013:
Is the "Send to me and my Secondary Email addresses (as indicated in your Account Settings.)" checkbox checked on those Email Templates?

Hello John. I was away from the computer all day. Yes, all of the email templates that I use have that box checked. Interestingly on some of them are checked and kind of grayed out so I could not uncheck them if I wanted to.
John Amato, June 21, 2013:
Ok then that must mean something else is preventing the emails from getting to that secondary email address. Have you checked the spam/junk folder? The spam filter settings? Are the emails getting to the primary email address?

Hi. I have our secondary email person checking their email this morning. He will get back to me. He did receive the Payment Reminder automated email this morning so I went in to see what was different. On that template I also have his email address typed in in the box to send to Other. Why are all of the email templates grayed out so that I cannot uncheck the box that says to mail to owner and secondary email addresses? Is there a higher level setting somewhere?

Two things:
1) Not all the Email Templates have the two checkboxes grayed out - only the Guest Confirmation, Payment Reminder, and Past Due Notice ones do. The reasons for this are a little complicated and legal, but let me know if you'd like to explore those.
2) The reason your secondary alert addressee is not getting the emails from the nightly sweep is because that process is not sending them to the secondaries! Our error, and my sincere apologies. (I'm a little shocked no one caught this before...) But thank you for reporting it, and we should have this corrected before tonight's sweep.
